Wes is our type of contractor -- one guy, a pickup truck, a skid steer, a cell phone and a changing roster of "buddies" who help out when he needs more manpower or a specialized trade. But he sometimes puts us to shame with how much he gets done in a day, and how fast he moves through his projects.
When we first met him three years ago he was crawling around underneath the
old house, hand-digging and hand-pouring new concrete footings (42" deep in our part of the country) and wrestling steel beams in place to support the house for the next century. We helped out rebuilding the porches on the front and side of the home.

This time around we all pitched in to carefully take apart the kitchen cabinets and trim so that it all can be re-installed when the structural work is done
We thought there might be asbestos in the flooring. So we had it tested at the University of Minnesota. We discovered that the asbestos was in the second layer of flooring, underneath the most recent floor tiles. So we brought in asbestos abatement contractor Envirobate to carefully remove both layers.
