Urban Bath Remodel

In this six-part miniseries, Dean and Robin make dramatic changes to a small urban home. They eliminate an existing small bedroom to enlarge and update a tiny bathroom. Among the special features in the new bath are a curbless shower, a vintage claw-foot tub, striking cabinetry, and a blend of modern and retro-style fixtures. Topics covered include framing; expanding and updating electrical service; moving and extending plumbing supply and drain lines; insulation; drywall; ceramic tile; removing, stripping, and reinstalling millwork; and installation of new and vintage fixtures. Special focus on blending old and new construction techniques and materials.
