Hometime in National Syndication

Responding to an increased presence of home improvement programming in the broadcast schedules of many network affiliate and independent TV stations, Hometime made its programs available for syndication. Broadcasts began in September of 2001.

Dean Johnson, Hometime host and executive producer, explains that the move is part of a long-term strategy to ensure that Hometime has a presence wherever homeowners seek home improvement information. "Different people look for information in different places. So over the years we've expanded our original offering of the PBS TV series and companion videotapes to include cable broadcasts on The Learning Channel, a book series, and the hometime.com web site. Entering syndication was the natural next step for Hometime."

Hometime is the only how-to home improvement TV series in national syndication to have The Home Depot as its presenting sponsor. View Program Descriptions.
